Stories about work, culture and
finding your place abroad

Working abroad is going great. Mostly.

Honest and (sometimes) funny stories about office life, culture shocks, language struggles and everything in between. Told by Marc, who is still figuring it out.

Who’s Marc?

Marc moved abroad thinking the difficult part would be finding a job.

It wasn’t.

It was figuring out when to speak in meetings, how to make friends as an adult, and whether somewhere stops being “abroad” after you’ve lived there long enough.

He studied accounting, ended up in marketing, did a master’s in Madrid, and has spent years quietly taking notes in Belgian offices. He’s an introvert. He’s fine with silence. He’s still not sure about the lunch breaks.

Marc isn’t one person. But his stories come from real experiences of working abroad.
